Dr. Daniel Wilke
Evanston Chiropractor

Chiropractic's main purpose is to restore normal nervous system communication. Why? It is through the nervous system that the function of every cell, organ, tissue and system of the body is controlled and coordinated. This restoration is done by realignment of the spine and resolution of old tension or holding patterns in the spine that result from past or current physical, emotional/mental, and chemical stressors.

Chiropractors are specialists in correcting subluxation and other misalignments. They do this by using the chiropractic procedure known as a spinal adjustment. The adjustment made by the chiropractor can be accomplished in many different ways, either by hand or using a hand held instrument.

Tonal techniques are one major category of spinal adjustments. They use light touches and work with the tone of the soft tissues to achieve realignment of the spinal structures. The technique that Dr. Wilke primarily uses is Network Spinal Analysis, which is a tonal technique. It is very effective and safe for people of all ages.

Once the nerve flow is restored, the intelligence of the body knows how to heal itself. How long this takes is dependent on numerous factors and is different for each individual.
