Patient Forms

We request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center of our website and bring them with you on your first visit. This paperwork is critical and provides us with your health history and information on your condition. Having your forms filled out in advance keeps us on schedule and ensures that we will complete everything we need to on your first visit.

Consultation

After you have been welcomed to the office, you will have a consultation with Dr. Daniel Wilke to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Daniel Wilke to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

Examination

After your consultation, Dr. Daniel Wilke will perform a complete chiropractic examination including a non-invasive thermal scan and postural muscle scan of your spine to look for heat variances and muscle imbalances to identify areas of dysfunction. These scans create a baseline from which we measure your progress and the effectiveness of your response to our care. Next, we observe you standing and sitting to assess your natural posture and breathing capacity. And finally, we palpate (feel) your spine and surrounding structures to document areas of held tension.

X-Ray Studies

Although it is not common in our office, depending on your specific condition, we may recommend X-rays as well. X-rays help alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.

Report of Findings

At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you will experience your first adjustment.

What can you expect?

  • Treatments are called adjustments or entrainments.
  • You remain clothed (except your shoes) during a session.
  • An appointment takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
  • The adjustment itself is gentle and very often pleasurable and relaxing.

Dr. Wilke considers your first two adjustments as part of the initial exam. He wants to see how you respond to his treatment so that he can share that with you during your Report of Findings and accurately choose a treatment plan that works for you.

Treatment (called Adjustments)

Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Daniel Wilke will give you a detailed report of all exam findings and answer any questions including:

  1. How can you help me?
  2. How often do I need to come in?
  3. What will my treatment cost?

After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine, Dr. Daniel Wilke will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Daniel Wilke will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.

Wellness Program

Prior to leaving, the doctor will suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire, our wellness team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
